No internet for 8 days so now catching up. First experience of a cruise for the Woods - a lot of food and drink which was difficult to refuse. Woke up to 60 knot winds off Cape Horn so could not land - quite relieved and Suzanne took to her bed - see photos of worried faces! Eventually disembarked at Wulaia which is where Darwin returned 3 native SA Indians (they were earlier taken to England to be educated). We were very nervous about Zodiac landing boats but the excitement of dolphins and minke whales soon overcame fear. Lots of useful lectures on board including one on Chilean wines - Carmenere is one to look out for. The trip ended with a visit to Magdelena island inhabited by Magellan penguins - absolutely fabulous!

Disaster for this posting- Ushuaia seems to be short of cash and supply depends on whether ATMs have been filled.

Lucy and Joe - hope you like the animal pictures.

Unusual as it meets the sea. Can anyone spot the blue ice? Long trip on a zodiac to get to this.

Not much protection from the sea in these. When dolphins are only a foot away - who cares!
