During our stay in Chile we stayed at a wonderful bed and breakfast in the heart of Providencia. Waking up knowing what delights were downstairs for our breakfast was enough to put a spring in our step!

Although Santiago is not the most attractive of cities, it provides enough to keep two Scottish tourists amused. We spent a day touring two vineyards, sampling the local produce! Although not a great red wine drinker, I have to admit I was kind of hooked! Lunch was enjoyed with a rather eccentric English lady who decided to join us telling us about her church, her one kidney and being chased out of a Rio slum by some men with guns!!

Our last day was spent on the coast in Vina del Mar, about 1 and half hours from Santiago. We enjoyed a couple of hours sunbathing on the beach, the first chance on our trip!

Suggestion for places to visit
Hi guys just wanted to give you a suggestion on places to visit while in Chile. My husband is Chilean and I am Argentinian and we were in Chile last September. We went down south to Pucon and Villarica. There's some great volcanoes down there and the sights are amazing. It's like being in LITTLE AUSTRIA. Anyway good luck with your trip go the VINO ROJO Chau
