Uniform!

and what you´ve all been waiting for......
me in a school uniform!!!

Also some pictures of me going downtown with a couple friends.
There is a collectivo (public transportation... sort of like taxis but they only go back and forth between a set of certain stops depending on the number thats on the car) stop a short walk from my house, which makes it really easy to go into town with friends and whatnot. I´ve done that a few times after school and on weekends.... also a few of my friends live pretty close by so it´s easy to meet up with them!

Nothing much exciting has been going on... just school in the week, and going out on the weekends. My lenguaje teacher has told me that i´ve been improving rapidly on my assignments, which is nice to hear... but the tests ive taken in other classes have not gone so well... its one thing to understand a basic idea when someone is teaching it to you in another language, and its completely another thing to take a test on the material! I stayed after yesterday for math help with one of the Inspectoras (hall moniters basically... except that we don´t have halls, we walk outside between classes). Her name is Nati and she´s been really nice and helpful... also has a great sense of humor and has helped teach me some of the slang and jokes. and as far as weekends... well I really enjoy weekends, they´re pretty lazy during the day and lots of fun at night! Tonight I´ll be going to a school dance sort of thing, and tomorrow we´re going out to the dunes in the afternoon and then to a party at night! sundays however are sort of a low-key family day in general.

Tammy, Don't worry, the uniform is very cute on you, particularly with the sweater. It simplifies life, doesn't it? Cute puppies, also. I'll be thinking of you starting school and looking forward to hearing about it. Life is about to get very interesting and busy here as the election season begins, so keep your fingers crossed. thanks Debby! it does definately simplify things, I really love wearing a uniform... its so easy in the morning. the same thing every day (except thursdays i wear my gym outfit). school has been going great, and actually right now im getting ready to go out with some friends from school! oh and i will definitely be keeping my fingers crossed!
