Pile of Bones

Most of the rocks in this picture are actually fossilized/petrified bones.

Bone

Ok so maybe I put that bone there. But we did find that randomly in the desert.

Dia de los Alumnos

The students walking to the beach. There were a few hundred of them.

Alumnos

"Meeester Zach! Meeester Zach!! Can you take a peeecture?!!!

They had to run around a construction cone 10 times.

Second

They had to fish through a bowl of some nasty soup-like thing that the students created for a piece of candy.

Third

They had to jump a hurdle and then eat 1/4 of an onion.

Fourth

They had to jump another hurdle and eat 3 mints.

Last

They had to chug a liter of water.

Eat an apple without your hands

They made a circle with a piece of rope.

Each team had to see how many students they could fit inside the circle.

Chaos ensued.

Jump on your partner

This game was a bit inappropriate. The guys laid down on a mat...

Run!

...then the girls ran over to them with a balloon full of flour or some other white powder...

Jump!

...then the girls placed the balloon in not-very-appropriate places and jumped on them to pop them.

I enjoyed reading your blog. I am heading to Santiago next for Orientation before I head out to Tarapaca. It was nice reading about the experience of someone who is currently there. I wish you continued success!
