After a five hour ferry journey, where we watched penguins and dolphins float by, we arrived in the small and slightly strange town of Chaiten, ready to head down the Carretera Austral. Hello. We are Ross and Liz and on the 20th November 2013 (a wet and grey British winter's day) we finally set off on our long planned trip around the globe. We started our adventure in Buenos Aires, Argentina and have since made our way around South America, South East Asia, Sri Lanka and overland from the UK to Hong Kong, where we hopped over to Japan and then down to New Zealand. The Carretera Austral
Great blog. We made this trip a few years back with our one-year old son. The hardships and delays are all part of the adventure. A really beautiful part of the world. Hope to make it back their one day!
