Devils Throat
This was the last thing we saw of the falls. A platform above the appropriately named Devils Throat! Firstly, the title does not have much relevance to anything, we just liked it!
Things have been quite hectic since the last blog.
We made it to Sao paulo after a 6 hour coach journey, a City we had heard so many bad stories about. We would have avoided going there to be honest except that we really wanted to go to Skolbeats. It is a massive City! so big in fact that its difficult to describe. Basically, its not very pretty, too big to get anywhere quickly and clearly dangerous. The people living there live in fear, apartment blocks (with mesh over windows/balconys) have 24 hour security sitting behind 2 or 3 huge iron gates. We spent 3 nights there. The first in search of Skolbeats tickets (quite a challenge), the second to find somewhere showing the cup final (equally challenging) and then final day and Skolbeats. Longest day ever! 10:30am for the final and then Skolbeats from the afternon through to the following morning. The festival was massive, 60,000 people, 3 or 4 arenas and apart from one other couple whom we met, we were definately the only gringos there. A little daunting but it rocked! Prodigy headlined
Shower
More like a bath! This was so much fun ..... we were on that boat (in that spot!) 5 mins after this shot. which was great though for some reason they kept shouting to the crowd in English and looked puzzled when the crowd didnt respond. Someone should have told them where they were!
We hopped onto a coach for a mere 16 hours after Skolbeats to get to Foz Do Iguacu. We ended up finding a really cool Hostel (Bambu) and were able to relax for a couple of days as well as see the waterfalls. The falls were awesome! We had perfect weather and spent one day on the Brazilian side and one on the Argentinian side. On the third morning we went to see Itaipu Dam and then hopped onto a coach for a relaxing 17 hours to Buenos Aires!! I know you are probably thinking that these coach journeys sound like a bad nightmare but in actual fact they aren't that bad. The comfort and seating is like a business class flight and most of the journey is overnight so you get plenty of sleep. There are films and refreshments etc ...... in fact, I prefer it to some Hostels ;-)
Classic comment about me looking like Chuck Norris Gav! haha In my defense ..... there was
Spray
So many waterfalls! something like 275 in all. not enough electricity in Brazil to run my clippers so my beard got a little long shall we say! Buenos Aires thankfully has sorted that. We are here for a couple of weeks and the Spanish lessons have begun!

P.s For those of you still sad about C & A disappearing from our high streets, you should come over here ..... C & A is thriving!
Note to self: Important documents such as immigration cards must be kept for when crossing borders .... DO NOT let Graham touch!
