Pirarucu lake

This lake is merged with the river during the rainy season. The pirarucu however comes back to the lake when the waters retreat to nest.

To reach the Amazon and the Sta Teresa community, we had to cross a forest and this 'farm'. All the land where the cows graze is covered by water in the rainy season. This is this a seasonal grazing field.
