Day 1

of our tour of Argentina! Lovely & hot today! - Just how we like it after the weather we've had in the UK!

Just checked into our hotel, the Sol Melia on Reconquista St. - having been picked up at the airport by our guide Marta. Very pleasant journey into the centre of Buenos Aires after our long flight from the UK. Marta has also just given us the lowdown on our tour for the next couple of weeks over a coffee.

Hotel is nice and seems to be in a good area (Marta says one of the safest areas of Buenos Aires) - and I can spot an Irish bar just on the next corner - so can't be all that bad! They get everywhere those Irish!

So far so good! All arrangements by Tango Tours as planned - by the way we decided to go on their Gold Tour.

Relaxing day today - activities starting tomorrow. Marta suggested a restaruant in the Puerto Madero area for tonight - so she kindly booked us in and arranged a taxi pickup for 9pm - It's when they open 😊.
