So yesterday, which was Friday I think, instead of taking the bus to Rosario as we had planned, we rode with Fabio. No, not the "I Can't Beleive It's Not Butter" guy, an Italian friend of Giovanna's. He rented a car and was driving here anyway, so we hitched a ride. We are staying at a hostel in Rosario that is owned by a friend of Fabian - the Argentinian who is staying at the hostel in Buenos Aires. We arrived just in time to scurry over to the Rosario Central game at 7pm. We made it just after kick-off and watched Rosario defeat Quilmes 4-2. These teams are in the top division of soccer in Argentina, the same as Bocas and River, so the level of play was pretty good. It was pretty incredible to see the passion of the fans and the spectacle of the whole event.
After the game, we came back to the hostel and ate at the Reggae bar that is kind of part of the hostel. I'm actually using the Internet in the Reggae bar, so I guess it is part of the hostel. Anyway, we asked around and were told about an area by

pregame - notice the attack dog on the field. Also, the weird condom-like thing on the field is how the opposing team has to enter and leave the field. I assume it's to protect them from fans throwing things at them...
the river that has some nice bars. We went out and had a great time. By the way, I have to say that the women in Rosario are really beautiful. All you here about is how beautiful the people are in Buenos Aires, well don't believe the hype. Rosario is much better. So today we're just kind of recoverring and tonight the hostel is having some pasta dinner for the guests, so I guess we'll do that. Not really sure what we're doing tomrrow, may go to Iguazu, may not. We'll see...
I just added some pics of our last night in Rosario. We had grand plans of going out - but ended up hanging out with the staff of the regaae bar til the wee hours of the morning.
