everywhere we hiked the trail was flooded with water and we pretty much had to swing from branches Tarzan style to keep our feet dry... you can guess how well that worked out

...remember the wet trail comment? well, this pic happened to have been taken one second before I completely fell into the river half way up to my knees! wet shoes for a couple of days, yuck! (and I had forgot an extra pair of socks too)

the streams are so clear that they say you can drink straight from them (don´t worry we filtered to be extra safe... no giardia for me!)

on the way up to tres lagos, an alpine lake that is the closest you can trek to Fitz Roy... from there it´s all rock climbing!

What a sweet birthday present...multiple posts to your blog within the last week, a shoutout on your famous blog (which by association now makes me famous)...dang!! I guess 25 won't be so bad. I love the newest photos, especially the super glassy water and perfect reflections in the lakes. Enjoy the chocolate, beer, and wine :)

I just Google Earthed Bariloche ~ gorgeous! They have about 15 beautiful photos of the lakes and town, looks a little Bavarian from the photos. Enjoy your stay there! Love you guys!!
