finally uploaded some pics!!!!
I will keep trying, i just thought i would at least update you, since after the first day you might have thought we got taken by the mobs!! which by the way the roads are still blocked, 3 days!! can you imagine if we were still stuck there,,, I cant!!! its good to be a tourist,, haha.
hello all,
So day 4 we woke up in Obera with only about 280km to go. So we got an early start and headed out. Once again the roads were good, not much traffic so we keot a good pace. About an hour intot he trip, still heading north the landscape drasticalyl changed. We officially entered the jungles of the amazon, well at least thats what i call it. It was pretty awesome scenery, and the roads were fun too, more up and down hills, more turns, and just mass amounts of greenery around us. Of course its hot in the jungle, but we survived. The awesome scenery even won out over the ailing backsides from the uncomfortable seat. It was a really neat feeling to be on a motorcycle in the amazon
or some jungle, and just crusing through it. Sure a bus has windows, cars can also stop when they want, but on the bike it has such a betetr feeling like your really in the landscape, and yu smell and fele the air, humidity, exhaus, haha. BUt really its a cool feeling riding up here. So after anther couple ours of riding we finally made it to iguazu national park, where the falls are located. We pulled into town around 2pm, and scouted out a few hotels. The second hotel we looked at definetly was the winner. This place is slick. It has a carribean resort feel to it, well thats what there trying for anyway. Its on the outskirts of town, so it faces the jungle, super quiet, on a dirt road no less. Our room is a 2 stry suite, bedroom upstairs, extra beds down, fridge tables, of course it wouldnt compare to a resort in maui, or gurnee for that matter, but for around here its pretty dam good. Our balcony off our bedroom overlooks the pool. We have 2 french doors to our balcony. Theres a nice little bar next to the pool, they serve the
free drink at 6.30, and free breakfast each morning. Needless to say we decided to stay here more than a night. Its more money than some other hostels we would normally stay at, but its still cheaper than any super 8 in the states by more than a few bucks. So that afternoon we took a swim, washed off the road dirt, which i have to say the dirt up here is a really brilliant shade of red, yes its a red dirt, but wow is it colorful.
So after a night in the resort, we woke up and decided why even leave the place today, so we decide the falls can wait day and we will just hang ot here, swim, tan, drink, eat all day. And let our butts rest !! It is pretty frickin hot and humid here, the pool helps, but afte ronly like 20 mins lying on the deck chair its really hot, so we have to jump in the pool again,, its really ruff, hahaha. Well its about 5pm now, almost time for my free drink, and maybe another quick dip. We plan on doing the falls tomoroow and spend another night in
town, and then leave the next day. I am not sure what day today is, so i cant tell you what day all that would be. Right now we think we will head back to buenos aires taking a diffrent route, and making a few extra stops. But as of this morning C , out of the blue asked if i still wanted to ride all the way over the mendoza first.... holy moly. Thats another 1000 miles from here, so it would take 4 days at least to get there. Butt, and thats the question BUTT, we have to really think about if we can handle the comfort level that long. I know from back home you say, you wimps, or just do it,, but trust me its tuff, and if it became not fun because of how uncomfortable it was, and every mile we started gritting our teeth to get through, then i think that would tarnish the up till now really awesome time we have had on it. So we will see, but i am not sure it will be in the cards for us.
