Buenos Aires was the first stop on our trip. Before we left we decided the one thing we wanted to take advantage of on this trip is time - slowing travel down. One or two days is never enough time to really get a feel for where you are and who the people are that surround you. Therefore, we planned out our trip so we were in each country for a long enough period of time that we never felt rushed. Part of that experience we were hoping for is living in these places and experiencing what everyday life is like.

Buenos Aires has been a fantasy destination for us both for years. Since I speak reasonable Spanish and Matt was willing to learn, BA seemed to be a perfect location for a month long apartment rental. It gave us the opportunity to take spanish classes, get our laundry done, shop at the grocery store, cook, experience the city, and spend time with our friend Jorge. It was a great way to decompress after the stress of a wedding, quitting, packing, and leaving. It was also a great intro to life on abroad.
