So here we are in Buenos Aires. We arrived into BA tired, hungry and lost. IT was a grey day (typically). Having negotiated the workings of the argentinian cash machine we got into a taxi and headed to hostel tita. After dropping off our bags we explored a bit of BA, worked out how to use the metro system (it only costs 20p for as many stops as we like). Straight off the tube we were confronted by the famous BA obelesico (which commerates the birth of the argentine republic apparently). After walking around aimlessly for a while we got back on to the tube and on the way back to our hostel stopped in a park. It started to rain, a lot! We decided to go back, have some food and plan for a better day!

It was recommended by our fellow travellers that we organise a city tour to get our bearings and see some of the sites. We headed into the centre and did just that. The tour took us around various areas of BA including la Boca (where the boca juniors footy stadium is and where maradona is apparently better than god). Elaine took a photo of two tango dancers which we thought was ace so we´ve attached it. Don´t be fooed by the way, La Boca is pretty rank and we were told not to leave the group.

Today we went to see a huge monument. Its a metallic flower that opens during the day and closes during night. Then we went to the Evita museum, went to the botanical (stray cat) gardens and sat in a park that smelt a lot like poo. This is where we ate our lunch, nice! Last night in BA tomorrow and we plan to go to an international party, then its on to Posadas!
