Hokkaido Historical Villiage - Pond

The structure to the right of the pond is a storehouse built originally (1887) on the coastline of the Sea of Japan. Half of the storehouse projects out over the water so that boats can go ashore under the storehouse and cargo can be directly loaded and unloaded through the floor opening.
