Xinjiang Museum

A great museum with an impressive collection of Silk Road treasures and the famous Urumqi mummies (3000 years old). These cover different relics and clothes from their 13 minority groups; for the record, there are 55 minorities in China. I was most impressed by the beauty of the clothes and the way the exhibits are displayed, small rooms with the main artifacts and clothes of every minority. Here's a sample for ya, it belongs to the Uzbek nationality, who apart from believing in Islam, speak a Turkish language whose alphabetical writing is based in Arabic.
