Casarecce With Seafood ...

... I had no idea what casarecce was, and that's exactly why I tried it. The sauce was quite salty, and I wondered if it's because the casarecce is so dense and heavy - it's a bit like if you took a very thick spaghetti and twisted it into a screw shape. The seafood was pretty good, clams, mussels, and tiny little shrimps in a bit of a brown sauce. The casarecce was overwhelming, both in heaviness and quantity - we're learning that in the south, ordering an appetizer AND a plate of pasta each, is WAY too much food. Especially if you want to have a gelato after!
