On Sundays they close one half of Atlantico Avenue which stretches along Copacabana Beach and the Cariocas (i.e. those born in Rio) all come out to promenade, run, jog, walk their dogs and children etc in the sunshine. I love travelling and have done as much as I can over the 68 years of my life. Since retiring from teaching in 2012 I have been able to do even more and have enjoyed the diverse landscapes, cities, peoples and places I have visited.
