Ventured inside the colosseum: it is so big (could hold up to 70 000 people). So glad I'm not a Christian! Under the arena floor (which is partially replaced) lie a multitude of tunnels, archways, stair cases, doors and holding cells for wild animals, machinery and the condemned.
