Andy had a little change in plans last night. He discovered that if he were to stay at the Chapins Creek campsite, he'd have to share it with about 15 other people, including some lively kids, so he pushed on to Split Rock, where things were a little quieter. I created this blog to provide details of my 2015 through hike of the Superior Hiking Trail. The trip lasted 26 days including 19 days hiking (265 miles), 4 days on a BWCA canoe trip and 3 days off trail playing tourist in Cook Co. I am attempting another SHT through hike in Sept 2017. Differences this year include a more focused trip without the canoe trip and scheduled days off trail. I will be hiking the entire trail including the Duluth section (310 Miles). ... full info
