Thanks to spotty reception and work interference (darn it, some of us still have to punch a time clock), today's report was unsatisfyingly brief. Andy is forging ahead despite the blisters that continue to plague him at a rate of 14-15 miles a day. I created this blog to provide details of my 2015 through hike of the Superior Hiking Trail. The trip lasted 26 days including 19 days hiking (265 miles), 4 days on a BWCA canoe trip and 3 days off trail playing tourist in Cook Co. I am attempting another SHT through hike in Sept 2017. Differences this year include a more focused trip without the canoe trip and scheduled days off trail. I will be hiking the entire trail including the Duluth section (310 Miles). ... full info
