HE SAID... We were leaving Delhi and travelling south to Agra, and we had a very early start. I’d set the alarm for 3.45am, as we needed to leave the hotel by 5am to catch our 6am train. Packing it in!
So impressed with how much you are able to see in a day--clearly those early mornings, to which I'm allergic, and great guides help. I looked up the 750 rupees, which turned out to be only $12, amazingly low for such a touristed site! The labyrinth of the Red Fort sounds fab, and how considerate that Shah Jahan got to look upon the Taj from his undoubtedly opulent "prison" rooms in the fort. So infinitely sorry about the puppy.

Tara we were amazed at how much we did in that one day too, but that early winter morning start was hard work. That puppy death still haunts me...if only we had been ten minutes earlier or ten minutes later.... I plan on researching NGOs in Agra who focus on street dog welfare.
