For 2 months in July and August, summer Monsoon season brings torrential thunderstorms. 2 hours to the north is evergreen covered mountins, 2 hours to the south is Mexico and the Sea of Cortez, and 2 Hours to the West is Phoenix, Sedona and Flagstaff.
