Galway is a relaxing, picturesque get-away to the past. It's beautiful, quaint and full of life. The buildings are preserved and the roads are cobblestone. I backpacked through Western Europe two consecutive summers, starting on May 10, 2006 and June 27, 2007. I studied abroad at the University of Oxford, England, where my fellow travelers and I drank wine on the roof of the law school library. Try getting away with that one at one of Britain's most prestigious universities, where the grass is hallowed and sound is muted after 2300. Yeah, we're pretty bad ass. I am happiest when in Europe -- perhaps from the combination of not being tied down and the excitement of being somewhere that's different from and more laid back than the States.... full info
