A lovely morning on the northern tip of Newfoundland dodging bergy bits. It was so calm since the light wind was out of the southwest. We saw our fist huge and up close icebergs, I am adding pictures. Very rigged mountainous shoreline with green moss covering the rock. Little villages are nestled in coves and they have internet! We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada. We hope to join cruising regattas organized by the Lewisporte Yacht Club members as they explore the Bay of Exploits, some of the best northern cruising grounds.
