Bright & early we (I mean the car) climbed up the steep cliffs of Meteora to the Monasteries. Built in the 13th-14th centuries, they hang periously close to various cliff edges. I don't know how they did it! The monks fled to the monasteries to escape persecution from the Ottoman Empire. Even so, many were martyred for their faith. Reconnecting….Discovering….and Reaching Out After 27 years of ministry (serving 6 congregations), the First Baptist Church of Greenwood is allowing Pastor Joyce to take a sabbatical. With the church's help, Joyce received a Lilly Clergy Renewal Grant to pursue her dreams of Following in the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul and reconnect with her own spiritual and family roots.
