A caretaker would have to turn a handle and when a boat passed, he would be hanging out in the middle of the river. Young kids loved to have turns as a treat.

We love spending time on the Murrumbidgee River affectionately known to the locals as "The Bidgee". We've found one of the best ways to explore is by push bike, so we grab each opportunity to go for a ride.
