The Bay of Plenty is on the Pacific 4 hours east of Auckland. About 100,000 pop. Very upscale area and the largest harbor after Auckland. We ave done a lot of walks and bush hikes since arriving last thur. Hiked up mt Maunganui 700' Walked around its base 1 hour. Did some beaches. Did the fish and chips thing. Monday we will venture up the Cormandel peninsula for a few days. ... read more
