Boats power or People Power

This is the bridge staircase that Brendon and I ascended and the descended to get to our hotel. The photo was taken at about 5:45 in the morning and this one man was delivering food and newspapers to businesses across the other side of the canal.
If a Venetian ever tells you "just around the corner"...........
