Fog horns system

A diesel engine compressed air and stored in the now rusty cast iron tanks (last used late 1800s) and the gas was then fed down 2.5KM stretches of pipe to blast the foghorns. Maintenance was constant as a tiny leak could mean no fog horn when you need it most. Thus, required 7 families to live full-time on the island.

Started off with another dry (what?! can this be?) run and then headed across the Forth Bridge to The Kingdom of Fife. Another lovely day although not the sunshine we had yesterday.
