Baños is an interesting name for a town. It means "baths" in Spanish and refers to the plethora of hot springs that are in and around the city. However, baño is the word for bathroom. The town of Baños is nothing like a bathroom, but the name overlap always struck me as odd, especially when I ask at restaurant in Baños "where is the baño."
