3rd June 2012 Sunday. Drove nearly up to the Mont Blanc tunnel entrance and parked. There is a memorial dedicated to the 39 people killed in the tunnel fire in 1999 –it is well tended. We were 4000ft above sea level and we then walked and climbed a further 500 feet through the forest to view the Bossons Glacier- well worth it too.
