Eternal Ghost Town
November 10th 2006 The majestic city of Fatehpur Sikri was the Mughal capital for 15 years (1571-1584) and was emperor Akbar’s favourite city. Akbar bestowed the title ‘Fatehpur’, meaning city of victory, to celebrate his conquest over Gujarat in June 1573.
