After enjoying Wilmington NC, I was heading to the Outer Banks for a two-week visit beginning March 20, 2012. Even though MapQuest told me the actual drive to Cedar Island NC was only 3-1/2 hours, I got a relatively early start because I wanted to stop at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort NC.
