Salsa dancing attracts mosquitoes.
This is only one side of my leg from the first night there, all from my hostel room. The next day, I bought and made repellent my best friend. Unfortunately, I didn't put it any hire than where my boxers stop and got one just above where my boxers stop. Bastsards!

Yamile and I escaped super last minute to Cali for NYE. It was Thursday night and she came over to see where we would be off to next. Since Cali is the Salsa Capital and hosts the Salsa Festival from Dec. 26 - 31st (stars attend and huge Salsa bands perform; ie Marc Anthony), we decided that this would be a necessary destination that very weekend.
