Broome to Kununurra 3

Okay kids, it is time for the long run from Broome to Darwin and usually we would have taken the Gibbs River Road to explore the Kimberleys, but our campervan is a 2WD, and the Gibbs River Road is only open from June through to October... In November, the risk of fire is too great, besides we needed a 4WD to do that... So we just followed the National Highway 1 out of broome and headed Kununurra. ... read more

About me I grew up in far North Queensland in a little town called Mareeba, 6000 population, where sugar canes and mango plantations dominate the local landscape. Lived in Cairns, at Parramatta Park for a few years and then moved to the Gold Coast to play tennis.
