Er ging alleen een nachtbus naar Nelson, dus we kwamen aan in het donker. Het hele dorp sliep nog en alle winkeltjes, cafés en zelfs het hostel waar we zouden slapen waren nog dicht. Gelukkig was er een winkelstraatje dat er zelfs 's nachts gezellig uitzag. Om 6 uur begon er iemand buiten met een karretje biologische koffie en thee te verkopen en langzaam begon het dorp te leven.
