We left lovely Sorrento and headed for the town of Bari to meet our ferry to Greece. On the way we stopped in Pompei to visit the old city. The old city was buried in AD79 after Mount Vesuvius erupted and covered the entire city in lava. It is an amazing place and is highly recommended for a visit.
