From the deck of the CENTURY DIAMOND, passengers still admire some of the cliff-shores heading into the Three Gorges.

Before the rapids along the Yangtze River were cleared in the 1950's, boats could only make it up-stream with the help of trackers. Teams of men were harnessed together to literally pull the boat, inch by inch, through the Three Gorges' torrents.
