July 3-July 7 After leaving my parents and brother at the train station in Florence (they were headed to Siena for the Palio) I set off on the train for Rome. I arrived mid-day and took a taxi out to my hotel, which was pretty much in the middle of nowhere because I had wanted to be near the airport. There was nothing to do.
