Arriving last night, we discovered Vang Viang is reminiscent of a Mexican beach town, albeit no where near a beach or the ocean. Well, I just stuffed my clear plastic quart bag with a random seletion of 3oz-sized toiletry gels and liquids, I still need to repack my backpack, I want to see The Departed before leaving, and I have to chow some last minute Mexican food since it'll be a while before I can work my tacos al pastor groove. It's an interesting time, 36 hours before departure... I was really, really nervous yesterday. But, now, I'm really quite excited. How cool... 7 weeks in Southeast Asia... bring it on!
