Fort Belgica
The restored Fort Belgica, bang in the middle of the town of Bandaneira, the "capital" of the Bandas. A sleepy place that can't have changed much since the days of the spice race.

Eyes still heavy with sleep, I extract myself from my little niche to have a look around. No sooner has my head risen above the edge of the parapet that a terrifically strong wind threatens to blow me off the ferry ! It must be about 6am, and our destination is in sight, dead ahead. Great Picture
Hi...there, I would like to say that your picture is such incredible. For long time I was looking for the history of Ambon ( Maluku), The first time I went to Ambon when I was 8 years old because my father was Ambon and my father's family still living in Ambon until today but I never know that ambon has so many fort from the colonial. I would like to say thank you for all your picture that you guys put it in the web.
