Am 2. März sind wir mit dem Wassertaxi aus Belize City angekommen. Unser Auto haben wir in (hoffentlich!) sicherer Obhut des Zolls in Belize City gelassen. Die Insel Caye Caulker liegt ca. 32 km nordöstlich von Belize City und ist als eine ruhigere Karibikoase bekannt wie z. B. ihre große Schwester Caye Ambergris.
