Although our room had the promised view of Staubbach Falls, the highest waterfall in Europe, it also looked out on the construction site next door :( The upside was that the falls were lit at night, and perfectly visible from the bed, so we fell asleep gazing at the falls...

We said goodbye to Lucerne, still under gray skies, and headed for the train station for our anticipated "Golden Pass Scenic Train" ride to the Berner-Oberland area of Switzerland.
