June 21, 22, 2008 Bern / Interlaken, Switzerland Our first day in Bern was Sunday. A perfect day to visit downtown and all the shops. They are nearly all closed on Sundays !!! We did a good walk about the old city center and visited the park where they keep the city mascots, bears. Bern is a very nice city. We love to travel. For the past 20 years or so we have been fortunate to have had the desire and resources to travel to over 40 countries around the world. We recently retired and have spent the last 18 months traveling around most of the USA and Canada, almost full time, and living in our 40" Monaco Motor Coach.
