Yaks were a fairly common site. They use them for cheese, butter, milk, meat, skin, hair and bone. Not one bit of this animal goes to waste. The bones are used to make sculptures and jewelry.
Impressive Scenery - Unimpressive Shigatse July 6th 2010 I came downstairs at 8:15 for my 8:30 meeting with Pussang, only to find he and Kate were already there and the driver was waiting! I don't have a nickname, so I decided to use my AT'03 trailname for this blog even though it has nothing to do with the Appalachian Trail. That is a whole different story. I started teaching internationally in 2006 and finally had the money to travel overseas after dreaming about it for many years.
