Pondicherry to Varanasi / a very long train journey.....

From Madurai we took an overnight train to Pondicherry - a lovely coastal town, which was once colonised by the French. We've always wanted to go traveling - see the world, understand new cultures and enjoy new experiences. With an economic crisis looming, we've decided to head off on the adventure of a lifetime. We left the UK on the 4th May 2009, and headed clockwise around the world. We're spending the first 6 months in Asia, followed by 3 months in Oceania and 3 months in South America.
