A Place Where Bank Security Means Sleeping in Front of the Bank March 20th 2010 The other night I biked by the bank at 11 PM and saw a familiar scene but one that’s not so common in the US. The security guy guarding the bank has brought a blanket and pillow from home and has literally made a bed at the doors to the bank, where he is fast asleep and snoring. In the US we thinking guarding means being awake, but here in Laos it just means being present.
