Just Another Big Scottish Mountain

Judging by the mountainous terrain we were crossing, the many lakes and the freezing cold weather, why did the British even care about conquering Scotland? The Romans stopped at Hadrian's Wall pn the Scottish border. But even though it can seem inhospitable at times I found so much natural beauty to just gawk at and some of the friendliest people anywhere in Europe. I'll definitely return.
