Het water is 13 graden en het drijf vermogen is minder in een rapid omdat er heel veel lucht door het water wordt gemixt. Je weet daardoor niet meer wat boven en onder is. Je kunt ook op sommige plekken in onderwater grotten gespoeld worden en dan kom je er 50 m verderop weer uit. Het belangrijkste is dus dat je in de boot blijft en anders meteen de boot vastpakt.
