It’s Still Mostly Saigon

I was really thrown off when we arrived at how much the Vietnamese still call this city Saigon. I expected to hear nothing but “Ho Chi Minh City” in reverence to Uncle Ho and the war. Nope. It’s still mostly Saigon. It’s so much Saigon that I now always refer to it as Saigon. It’s not as much a mouthful as Ho Chi Minh City. And I like the way it sounds better.
